Arnaud de Villeneuve - Médecin et alchimiste
Arnaud de Villeneuve was a precursor of the Renaissance, a genius excelling in all the fields encompassed by the science of his time: philosophy, medicine, theology, magic, alchemy, astrology, mathematics, and more. In 1305, the Inquisition in the territories of Catalonia forbade the reading of Arnaldo's books, which ranged from medicine to astrology, and from theology to alchemy. After his death in 1316, his books were confiscated and burned by the Inquisition of Tarragona.
