For the Philco PCX 24000, bass boost is noticeable in the pre-programmed equalizations, like Flat and Classic. With manual equalization, when setting treble and bass to maximum, the boost does not provide additional power gain. I noticed it has good bass and sub-bass, with a soft and short bass profile, not prolonged. The tweeters are powerful and surprising; even with treble at maximum, reducing it resulted in a lack of volume, so I kept bass and treble at maximum, which was the most pleasing setup.
