In the case of the Amvox 2900W, its rubberized speakers provide a middle ground—not too soft and not too dry. Opinion on the Philco PCX 24000 Up to volume 3, you might notice a slight hiss in the tweeter, but it disappears at higher volumes. Regarding equalization, the preset “Rock” mode is my favorite, just like on the Philco PCX 35000. However, for personal preference, I use manual equalization. I start with the “Rock” preset and then manually adjust it, boosting "+1" in bass and "+8" in treble. The bass reinforcement is noticeable with presets like “Flat” or “Classic,” where you can hear a more pronounced bass response. The “XBass” mode enhances bass further, but with all settings maxed out (bass and treble), there’s no significant power gain when activating the reinforcement. The Philco PCX 24000 has good bass, with sub-bass leaning towards a "soft bass" sound rather than prolonged bass. The tweeter is surprisingly strong, which I appreciated. During testing, I found that lowering the treble to "+5" made the sound feel weaker. Adjusting back to "+8" for both bass and treble gave me the most pleasing sound.
