Soulages : au cœur de la peinture | Reportage CNRS

For three days, a team of scientists explored the reserves of the Abattoirs Museum - Frac Occitanie Toulouse. Their goal: to better understand the alterations affecting several paintings. To this end, they focused in particular on a 1959 work by Pierre Soulages. Its paint is peeling in some places and dripping in others. By conducting an imaging campaign, they hope to understand the origin of these recurring phenomena. 👩‍🔬 With the participation of: Pauline Hélou de La Grandière of the Atelier du Patrimoine, and Cy-Cergy Paris Université, Héritage Culture/s, Patrimoine/s, Création/s laboratory.
