1979 Ford Bronco Hidden Access Points & Final Interior Prep | Bronco Restoration - Ep02
Welcome to Episode 2 of the 1979 Ford Bronco restoration project on *Have Bronco Will Travel*. With the Bronco's interior already stripped down, it's time to focus on the hidden areas that are often overlooked during a restoration. In this episode, I remove the front seat belts, clean out each of the body mount access locations, and investigate the mysterious rear center access panel—an area whose original purpose still remains a bit of a mystery. The restoration continues with the removal of both door panels, allowing years of accumulated dirt and debris to be cleaned from inside the doors while inspecting the condition of the underlying sheet metal. I also restore several small components by cleaning body mount covers, hardware, and fasteners in an ultrasonic cleaner before protecting the plastic access cover with a Cerakote ceramic coating. To finish this phase of the project, the interior receives one final deep cleaning before the cab is closed up and the restoration moves on to the next major stage. Every episode of this series documents the restoration of a classic 1979 Ford Bronco—from its original condition through mechanical rebuilding, body restoration, upgrades, and eventually the adventures that inspired the name *Have Bronco Will Travel*.
