🎥 About this trip: Retro Shimoyoshida streets and a dramatic afternoon plot twist! To catch the brief good weather, we woke up at 5 AM and headed straight to Shimoyoshida. Although Mr. Fuji was still hiding in the clouds when we arrived, the empty streets in the early morning were incredibly aesthetic. We enjoyed the tranquility while strolling past retro Showa-era signboards and the Golden Torii. Next, we challenged the 400-step climb to Arakurayama Sengen Park. After waiting in the freezing wind for almost two hours with no luck, we went to warm up with the famous local "Yoshida Udon." But the real surprise came later! While walking near a LAWSON in the afternoon, Mt. Fuji suddenly appeared without warning! We rushed back to our hotel and realized our room had a spectacular window view. Eating snacks while enjoying this breathtaking scenery was incredibly moving. At night, we took a walk by Lake Kawaguchiko and went on a massive shopping spree at a local supermarket.
