🎥 About this trip: Escaping the crowds for a hidden gem and a "Lenticular Cloud" Mt. Fuji! After the early mornings of the past few days, we slept in today and took the Green Line bus to the famous "Oshino Hakkai." We enjoyed the must-try salted grilled cherry salmon and wild vegetable soba, but there were so many tourists that our crowd phobia instantly kicked in! To escape the crowds, we made a quick decision to head to "Hananomiyako Park," where we luckily had the breathtaking Mt. Fuji view all to ourselves! Next, we went to Lake Yamanaka and fed swans on a quiet, natural pebble beach (though I got bitten in the process 😂). We even saw the rare "lenticular cloud" over Mt. Fuji, which is said to predict rain. For dinner, we found a local restaurant and challenged ourselves to a visually shocking "jumbo fried shrimp" and delicious tonkatsu!
