Decided to switch the pace and catch a quick train (about 45 mins 🚆) to Nara to hit the famous Deer Park. Over a thousand wild deer just chillin’ and walking up to you like it’s their city. Feeding them was wild, peaceful, and honestly therapeutic. Right inside the park is Tōdai-ji Temple, one of Japan’s most legendary spots and home to a massive Buddha statue. Entry was 600 yen—a must-see if you’re out here. The scale and silence inside hit different.
