Natasha’s testimony is marked by a defining moment that forever changed her outlook on life. On the morning of November 3, 2020, what began as feeling unwell quickly escalated into a medical emergency. Struggling to breathe and experiencing a racing heart, Natasha called out for help. Within moments, she went into cardiac arrest multiple times. Her heart stopped for extended periods, totaling over twenty minutes without a heartbeat. As oxygen and blood flow were compromised, her organs began to fail and doctors were forced to place her in a medically induced coma. To sustain her life, Natasha was placed on an ECMO machine, a temporary life-support system that functions as an artificial heart and lungs. For nearly two weeks, her life rested entirely in God’s hands. Against overwhelming odds, she survived. But survival was only the beginning. Complications required a tracheostomy, and when Natasha awoke, she faced the humbling reality of having to relearn how to walk, speak, and perform basic daily tasks through intensive physical, speech and occupational therapy. Through every stage - unconsciousness, recovery, rehabilitation - one thing never left her: her awareness of God’s presence and faithfulness. In this interview, Natasha shares candidly about the spiritual anchoring that carried her through the most fragile season of her life.
