[4K] 🇯🇵 Kobe Municipal Subway | All the Lines

The Kobe Municipal Subway is a 3-line network covering 38 kilometres of track. The system opened in 1977 and uses 2 different technologies on the main lines. The Seishin Yamate line is a regular heavy rail line which operates through service with the Hokushin line. The Kaigan line uses linear induction motor technology similar to the Oedo line in Tokyo. Both lines are well integrated with the city’s rail network and can be paid for using any national IC card. If you find yourself in Kobe the subway is a great way to get around the city.
