"I learned God loves us." An Angel Tree Summer Camp Story

Children with an incarcerated parent often carry burdens of uncertainty and shame. It’s essential they have a place to be children, form friendships with others who understand their journey, and learn about Christ's love for them. At Frontier Camp, that’s exactly what’s happening. In partnership with Prison Fellowship Angel Tree, this camp helps children impacted by incarceration to experience a week filled with outdoor adventures, music, shaving cream slides, and other group activities that build community and faith. Supportive volunteers and staffers come alongside campers, praying with them, and offering a sense of hope and belonging. As an Angel Tree summer camp, Frontier Camp receives specialized training to help them create a safe space where kids know that they are valued, they matter, and they are seen.
