The forest fire in Leciñena (Zaragoza) remains "out of control" and "far from being stabilized" this Wednesday, after burning approximately 2,200 hectares, mostly forest. According to the firefighting technical director, Ángel Gari, the fire is of particular concern in Sector 4, located in the heart of the Sierra de Alcubierre mountain range, where conditions have even forced the temporary withdrawal of ground crews for safety reasons. The wind, high temperatures, and low humidity significantly hampered firefighting efforts during the afternoon, limiting the effectiveness of both ground and air crews. In contrast, Sector 1, near Robres, is showing a more favorable trend, allowing firefighters to work with greater confidence.
