Lapageria, the most beautiful flower in the world

In this video we look at the wonderful plant that is Lapageria. It's a half hardy evergreen, tender perennial vine. That means it grows every year but it needs winter protection from cold winds and frost. These plants are very hard to find as germination from seed is erratic and those that do germinate are very slow to establish. I found my first Lapageria on eBay five years later after it was eaten by a mouse I found its replacement available from a grower in Oregon.
