Autoridades acreditam que mais vítimas vão se manifestar após prisão do ‘maníaco do metrô’

Civil Police arrested William da Silva Santana in Heliópolis, in the southern zone of São Paulo, after he was accused of two rapes in the eastern zone of the city. Authorities believe more victims may come forward following his arrest. The crimes occurred in April and May of this year, near the Tatuapé and Mooca subway stations. In one case, William approached a 17-year-old girl, demanded money transfers via Pix (a Brazilian instant payment system), and, under threat of violence, committed the rape. Investigations showed that William approached the victims offering help before the attacks.
