Bernadette - “Red Rose Café” for accordion
As a child, growing up in southwestern Victoria, Australia, my parents took me to see every accordionist who came to town. In this case it was the Irish band, “The Fureys and Davey Arthur,” with accordionist Paul Furey. I loved his playing on this continental style waltz which depicts the “Red Rose Café,” a café by the port of Amsterdam and the colorful cosmopolitan customers who drink there.
