Train Delays on Launch Day, Sydney Metro - Castle Hill Station (M1 Northwest Line)

20 minutes frequency towards Tallawong after Sydney Metro had to work to take the faulty train at Macquire Park out of service and send it back to depot. All other trains on the line (including towards Chatswood) were forced to wait to regulate frequency. Some passengers gave up at this point and left the station. Not a great first impression for a brand new line for an experienced operator who operated an identical system (South Island Line, MTR Hong Kong) for 3 years! To be fair, SMRT (operating a similar-spec Circle MRT Line) did also ran into similar problems during launch day many years back:    • SMRT Trains C830 - MRT Breakdown @ Circle ...   . However, MTR did have experience operating an identical system back in Hong Kong for years as the South Island Line.
