STUNNING RAINBOW MOUNTAIN HIKE | Our experience hiking Vinicunca in Peru

Time for another day trip from Cusco, and today we are going to do the colorful Rainbow Mountain Hike! The "rainbow" part of Rainbow Mountain Peru wasn't discovered until 2015. Before that, the locals simply knew it as Vinicunca or Winikunk. But in 2015, the ice that covered Vinicunca Peru melted and it’s been that way ever since. Climate change uncovered a place that has since become one of Peru’s most beautiful destinations to visit. In Spanish, it is called Montaña de Siete Colores or Montaña de Colores. Or, simply the Spanish for Rainbow Mountain - Montaña Arcoiris. When you watch this video, keep in mind that the hike to Rainbow Mountain looks easy.
