The REWE JUNIORCUP is the largest U19 indoor football tournament in Europe and has been held in Göttingen since 1989. Over four days, 28 teams compete, including 12 professional teams from Germany and across Europe. From Thursday to Saturday, a preliminary round is played with four groups of seven teams each. The top four teams from each group advance to the intermediate round with five groups on Sunday morning. The group winners and the three best runners-up then advance to the quarterfinals. Austria Vienna holds the record for most wins with five tournament titles. The Violets are also the only team to have achieved three consecutive victories (2014, 2015, and 2016). Other winners in recent years include 1. FSV Mainz 05 (2020), Fortuna Düsseldorf (2019 and 2025), and Manchester United (2018 and 2017).
