Firmafesten (Company Party, 1972)

Set over the course of a single evening, Firmafesten follows the employees of Levin’s PR agency as they prepare for the company’s annual office party. The staff decorate the premises and finish the workday in a giddy mood before heading home to change for the night’s festivities. As the party unfolds, the atmosphere shifts between awkwardness and excess: the boss delivers a predictable welcome speech, shy newcomers mingle with bolder colleagues, and drinks loosen tongues and inhibitions. Some seek fleeting romance, others look to speak truths long held back, and the celebration drifts between flirtation, confession, and reckless behavior. By the time the gray light of morning arrives, the laughter has faded into hangovers, regret, and quiet reflection—though for some, the night may also have left behind the memory of something unexpectedly genuine.
