I spoke about the connection between "Anpanman," created by the late manga artist Takashi Yanase, and Buddhism. Yanase's wartime experiences inspired him to consider what a true hero should be, and he created Anpanman as a symbol of unwavering justice. Anpanman is the "world's weakest hero," weakened by having his face eaten.
