Cek Gudang Bulog Jatim, Mentan Amran Gandeng Mahasiswa dan Pakar Pertanian: Stok Melimpah

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman invited students and agricultural experts to directly inspect the Bulog warehouse in Sidoarjo, East Java, to ascertain the actual condition of the national rice stock. He appreciated the involvement of various university elements as a form of transparency and public cross-checking of government data. Addressing the participants, Amran stated that the current national rice stock reached 4.9 million tons and is expected to soon reach 5 million tons, the highest in Indonesian history. Meanwhile, the total national food supply, including Bulog stocks, food and beverage consumption, and standing crops, is approximately 28 million tons, sufficient for needs for the next 11 months. The Bulog warehouse in East Java itself shows nearly full capacity, even approaching maximum capacity. Furthermore, Amran emphasized that the government has anticipated the potential impact of El Niño through pumping and irrigation improvements.
