GBO2 Guncannon Heavy Type D (Post-Buff): It's a tanky stun spammer!
This video contains two matches I had with the recently buffed LV1 and LV2 Guncannon Heavy Type D on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 400-550 cost general with high durability, two instant staggers, the combination of LV1 MA and LV1 Damage Control alongside a powerful machine gun sub-weapon. It suffers from being somewhat sluggish, from lacking a dodge roll, and from having very weak melee. I hope that you enjoy watching! This suit was recently buffed with 16500/19000/21500/24000 HP depending on suit level, 55 thrust at 450 cost, 60 thrust at 550 cost, more custom part slots at every level, LV4 Enhanced Tackle at 450 cost, LV1 Damage Control, LV2 Damage Control at 450 cost, LV3 Damage Control at 550 cost, 900/1000/1100/1200 shoulder cannon power depending on suit level, 16 seconds cannon reload time, less end-lag after firing the cannons, 4000/5000/6000/7000 shield HP depending on suit level, alongside the addition of a new machine gun sub-weapon. Its primary weapon is a bazooka with 1400 power, 8 ammo, 6 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds reload, 1.5 seconds swap time, 350m range and 30% stagger value. This has low stagger value for a bazooka, but it has decent power and lots of ammo. Its primary melee weapon is the suits bare hands with 1400 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and standard modifiers. The suit can combo swings together, but it is going to deal low damage with melee no matter what. This is only useful for knocking enemies over with, you can't even follow-up with melee on a knocked over opponent. Its first sub weapon is a pair of cannons with 900x2 power, 8 ammo, 5.5 second cooldown, 16 seconds reload, 1.5 seconds swap time, 450m range and 35%x2 stagger value. These instantly stagger and have a pretty large splash damage radius, they deal high damage too. Its second sub weapon is a head vulcan gun with 50 power, 30 ammo, 450 RPM, 6 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 150m range, 2% stagger value and 375 DPS. This has bad DPS and cannot stagger enemies, making it basically worthless. Its third sub weapon is a hand grenade with 1100 power, 3 ammo, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 13 seconds reload, 1 second swap time and 50% stagger value. This doesn't deal much damage but it has decent stagger value. You can combo it into your machine gun if you want to stagger quickly. Its fourth sub weapon is a machine gun with 170 power, 35 ammo, 514 RPM, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 1456 DPS and 8% stagger value. This has short range and isn't terribly accurate, but it has very high DPS and can stagger on its own quite quickly. It gives you a close range DPS follow-up tool against staggered enemies, as well as a safe follow-up damage tool against enemies that your allies have knocked over. The LV1 Guncannon Heavy Type D has 16500 HP, 20 ballistic resist, 20 beam resist and 22 melee resist. It has really good durability, having both high HP and naturally high resistances. It has LV1 Damage Control and LV1 Maneuver Armor for defensive skills. In terms of mobility it has 110 (112 including affinity) walk speed, 190 boost speed, 50 thrust and 54 (60 including affinity) turning speed. It has somewhat lacking mobility overall. Its boost speed is average, but it doesn't have much thrust, and it has walking speed on par with the supports of this cost. This isn't a huge deal when the suit wants to stay at a distance and shoot all day though. In conclusion, I feel that the Guncannon Heavy Type D has become really strong thanks to these buffs. It used to be on top of the meta back in the day thanks to its ability to stagger lock enemies from a distance, but it has fallen off over time because of powercreep. These changes should let it regain at least some of its former glory. Having two splash instant staggers makes it pretty easy to fight against the ubiquitous Gundam, and it now has really high DPS potential thanks to it getting that machine gun sub-weapon. I think it should be a strong option in 400 and 450 cost, maybe 500 cost at a stretch. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
