Midland 77-104DUK CB27/81 - On The Air test
After repairing & re-aligning this set from around 1987, it was time to test it. As usual, Mr Chippie drove along our usual 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route. In line with our latest improvement, Mr Chippie stops at the 5-mile point & I switch to low power. On this radio, low power is just 250mW rather than the 400mW it's supposed to be. The low power setting isn't adjustable on this model. We found the 250mW low power unreadable at this point. At the end, I tested into our base station with the supplied factory original mike, then swapped to our standard replacement microphone.
