This is the last song recorded with the cheap condenser mic, and perhaps the most atmospheric of ERA 0. Dry Flowers is based on a poem published in 2023 in a Kindle poetry collection (https://amzn.eu/d/0euJZlWK ), but originally written much long ago. A post-punk meditation on watching the world being consumed by the inexorable passage of time, while everything around me is devoured by the flames of oblivion and turned into dry dust. The night, represented here as a horse, a dreadful herald with a murderous gaze, closes in to claim the spoils of its silent war against life. And I am a powerless spectator, observing this rotting still life from the dark depths of a cell. The footage in this video was mostly shot by me, with the exception of five clips that I took from a free stock video website, Pexels. My footage includes a trance dance I performed and recorded by myself, edited and layered to achieve the final psychedelic effect you are witnessing. But when I added the whistles and chorus in the background, the atmosphere took another turn... akin to the spaghetti western tradition from classic movies, but from a sinister, gothic and demented angle.
