Email: [email protected] [About Omochi-kun] Omochi-kun (fetal name → nickname), born in January 2023, was born with facial and skull deformities. About his face: Missing upper and lower eyelids Widely spaced, low-set eyes Small, low-set, and posteriorly rotated ears About his skull: Missing bone from the crown to the forehead Missing bone around the eyes and cheekbones Small lower jaw Short nasal bone Due to his small lower jaw, spontaneous breathing is difficult, and he underwent a tracheotomy on the day of birth. He also has a weak swallowing ability, so he receives nutrition through a gastrostomy tube. His forehead has no bone, so it feels soft and squishy to the touch. He also has no bone around his eyes, so his eyeballs are set deep inside. We are deeply moved. Neither the doctors nor anyone else knows what kind of growth he will achieve in the future, but Omochi-kun lives each day to the fullest, and we cherish the many different sides of him he shows us. We live as a family of three, cherishing each and every moment of happiness. "There are children like this in the world."
