The mighty Sidchrome Mustang was not only responsible for helping establish Jim Richards as an outright contender in the New Zealand Saloon Car Championship, it also helped catapult his racing career in Australia. He has since gone on to win the Bathurst 1000 seven times, and the Australian Touring Car Championship four times. But beyond Richards, the Mustang has been with the same owner for nearly 50 years! Its story is quite amazing, and we kick off its history as part of a 2-Part feature.
