Celebration of Life for Pauline Mary Twine 📱

Pauline Mary Twine entered this world on October 31, 1930, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, as the daughter of the late Leondias and Alice Law. Her early education began at the Ramer School prior to her family's relocation to Roanoke, Virginia. Known affectionately as "Ms. Pauline," she possessed a deep love for the Lord and shared her musical gifts as a pianist for local congregations. A consummate hostess who delighted in cooking for others, she particularly cherished the Thanksgiving holiday. As a visionary and community-oriented individual, she achieved a historic milestone in the early 1970s as one of the first Foster Mothers in Roanoke entrusted with the care of children from diverse ethnic backgrounds. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at First Baptist Church Salem. Live Streaming will be available from the Hamlar-Curtis website.
