Celebration of Life for Bishop Ronald O. Baker

Bishop Ronald O. Baker was born on September 24, 1949, to the late Verdell K. Baker and late James Mitchell Bates. Bishop Ronald O. Baker, a faithful servant of God, devoted pastor, mentor, and community leader, peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 21, 2026. For more than 50 years, he faithfully preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthened churches, mentored leaders, and impacted countless lives through his ministry, wisdom, and compassionate spirit. A public viewing will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Central Baptist Church. Live Streaming will be available from the Hamlar-Curtis website.
