Solo in The World's Murder Capital!(San Salvador)🇸🇻

The capital of El Salvador (San Salvador) became known as the “Murder Capital of the World" due to the very high rates of crime, violence and homicide!! I understand that the official data usually don't lie, but the media headlines definitely want to exaggerate sometimes and this may be unfair for the true reputation of a City or country!! That's why, I am very curious to see with my own eyes how dangerous San Salvador is for a random tourist (like me) during the day!! So far, most of the locals told me not to visit the streets around the Center or the big central market, especially with the camera in my hands, because it might attract the bad people's eyes and cause me problems!I respect their concerns but at the same time I believe that even in the most dangerous places you will attract good people as long as you are polite and you trust your own common sense and survival instincts!
