One of the great Aragonese sculptors of the 20th century was Pablo Gargallo. But his wife, Magali, and especially his daughter, Pierrette Gargallo, were instrumental in achieving this recognition. Both suffered imprisonment in a French concentration camp during World War II while their father's work disappeared, packed from one train to another and traveling across France to prevent it from falling into the clutches of the Nazis. How did they recover all of Gargallo's work, and how did Pierrette become the greatest disseminator of her father's legacy?
