We earn money from work, pay rent or mortgages, and get a home to live in. Similarly, we shop at stores to buy food. Similarly, we buy clothes. Similarly, we buy things we need for life, like cars and appliances. Similarly, we pay electricity, gas, water, and gas bills. Have you ever questioned this lifestyle that is taken for granted in modern society? Similarly, the very fact that we receive cash in exchange for work and use that money to support our lives! Just how much does it cost for a person to live in modern Japan? I was very curious, "Why?" "Why do I need so much money to survive?" As simple as a small child asking "Why?" for everything. First of all, I wanted to prove to myself, "What is the bare minimum?" by living my life. Do I have to hire a professional to build a house? Is it true that you can't survive without earning money? What are the things and possessions necessary to survive? How much does it cost to enjoy the necessities of life: food, clothing, shelter, and energy? Every day, waste materials are thrown away as industrial waste. "If there's so much of it, why not just build it myself?" I thought, half-jokingly. So I did it. Without any knowledge or experience. Design, construction, foundation, structure, interior, kitchen, bath, toilet, electricity... I did it all myself without relying on professionals. I didn't even lease heavy equipment like a tow truck. Now, A self-built house made entirely from recycled materials Hand-planted rice paddies of 3 tan (100 hectares) produce a year's worth of rice In addition to vegetable gardening and foraging, we obtain ingredients through donations We also produce our own processed foods, from miso, umeboshi (pickled plums), and pickles to sweets We dug a well and produce our own water We use firewood for daily cooking, bathing, and heating Almost all of our clothing, children's items, appliances, and daily necessities are donated Our car is a "tempura car" that runs on used diesel oil We installed solar panels made from recycled materials and not only produce our own electricity, but also sell it. A self-sufficient lifestyle is a natural way of life, necessary for living freely and doing what we want. Only by being self-sufficient can we achieve a free life. Living free and worry-free days with just a fan. Only then can we finally see our purpose. In that sense, it's more than just a lifestyle revolution. It's blown a hole in this suffocating modern society (actually). This is called revolutionary living. I felt more at ease once I realized that society was crazy and realized there was no need for me to conform to its common sense. When I felt more at ease, I was able to focus fully on what I wanted to do. So it's not just about building a house out of 100% recycled materials and living off gifts and self-sufficiency. It's so comfortable, I want more people to know about it and put it into practice! Recycled Material Heaven - Jin Akiyama @ecoBakaCreation
