Norvalspont – A Settlement on the Northern Cape Side of the Orange River! Ep 201

The gravel road we found when we left Colesberg on our way to Norvalspont was fantastic. Not only did it take us past the Agtertang siding but we saw beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way, including warthogs and ground squirrels. When we arrived in the little settlement, the first place we saw was the Police Station and then the Glasgow Pont hotel. This hotel has such a rich history, but unfortunately I couldn’t take much footage of the inside because they are renovating it. It was still a privilege to see. The sad part was visiting the concentration camp cemetery, a dark reminder of what humans are capable of. Hopefully the world never sees something like that again.
