On April 22, 2026, the Center for Curative Pedagogy and the Special Childhood Expert and Methodological Center held an open webinar on "Play-Based Pedagogy: Identifying Children's Potential and Selecting Games to Solve Specific Problems." Play is a natural way for children to explore the world. But what and how they play hides much more than meets the eye. During the webinar, we discussed how to observe a child's play to identify their current capabilities, understand their level of development, and determine what steps will help them move forward. During the webinar, we discussed: — What children are currently playing and what actions they use; — How children explore the world and build interactions through play; — What developmental conclusions can be drawn from observation; — How to identify missed or underdeveloped opportunities; — Which games can support development and solve specific problems. We examined real-life examples and saw potential and growth potential in children's play behavior.
