Em busca do cascudo-zebra na natureza (2022) - e outros peixes também!

In this video I will take you with me on a dive in the Xingu River in front of Altamira and show you all the fish and environments we encountered. This dive was made on August 11, 2022 in a region that is dammed by the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Plant. At this location, a few kilometers downstream of Altamira, the river had a strong current and a rich fish fauna adapted to rapids lived here. This is the first scientific dive revisiting these sites to investigate the species that are still found there (and of course looking for our flagship species, the Hypancistrus zebra).
