Bosch GKF 1600 CE Router Kit - Holtonsfixit101

Welcome to Holtonsfixit101. This video was done a while ago, so here it is. The Bosch GKF 1600 kit is in three parts the router motor, the plunge base and the fixed base. The first thing your notice about the router is the size it's no small by any means but it's not the smallest router I have in my shop. Everything about this router is well designed to the handles right through to the base. the motor even has a flat top on it so you can turn the router upside down if you need to. The motor is 1600W so plenty of power on tap with soft start. The kit also comes with two collets 1/4 and 1/2 which is handy and gives you a choice to use either. The bases as said are plunge and fixed base which also gives you the choice to aid you with any of your routing needs. These bases are quite unique that they house the on/off lever on the handle, something very welcome from a multi bsae design. Something i didn't mention in the video is the guide bushes for this kit is that there of a baynet design i style I've never seen before but after using these that came in the kit I was quite impressed by them. The other bits in the kit are also quite good as well. The fence will fit both bases and of micro adjustment to dial in the exact measurement you need. The collet spanner is a good bit of forged steel not the pressed out flat steel you find that come with some routers. All round this router kit is quite impressive and I know the price would put a lot of people off, but for what you get I think it's worth ever penny.
