Flying Scotsman Steals the Show: The Most Famous Locomotive on the West Somerset Railway - 2025

A short trip to the West Somerset Railway, for the most famous locomotive in the world, LNER A3, 60103 Flying Scotsman. With new custodians, Flying Scotsman is visiting the railway for over a month, with various outings from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead, and days on static display. The day featured a two train service, with 7812 Erlestoke Manor on the other train. Passengers would enjoy one trip behind Scotsman, and one behind the manor. The day was a sell out, despite critics of the expensive fares; Scotsman is a world famous locomotive and the WSR will have high costs to overcome.
