How to choose a C-41 kit (and which ones to avoid)

Choosing between black and white film developers is more vibes based, but simpler. Enhanced grain, long shelf life, economical replenishment - there are things that you can look for in a B&W dev. With C-41 home development it's much less clear, because these kits should all be the same!
