Drawing on her own experiences, she reveals how the "masks" people wear in social life both oppress and liberate them, and discusses the importance of being able to choose when to wear or remove these masks. Born in 1972, she graduated from Hitotsubashi University's Faculty of Social Sciences. She began her career as a drag queen in 1994, appearing in various events, media, stage productions, and lectures, and made her debut as a singer in 2018 as a member of the drag queen diva unit "Happo Fubijin." She also works as a writer and screenwriter, winning the Excellence Award at the 12th TV Asahi 21st Century Newcomer Screenplay Awards in 2012, and translating the script for the Toho musical "Priscilla" in 2016. Her recent book is "Logical Memo" (published by Ascom). This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
