Why are guidelines important, and how are they developed? This webinar explores how evidence-based guidelines fit within the broader health system, and how PKD patients can use them as tools for asking questions, weighing options, and advocating for care that reflects their values and circumstances. Dr David is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Public Health, The University of Sydney based at the Centre for Kidney Research, The Children's Hospital at Westmead. In 2020, David was appointed as the Scientific Director of the Australian and New Zealander clinical practice guidelines organisation (CARI Guidelines - cariguidelines.org). As well, David has a leadership role with Cochrane Kidney and Transplant to provide evidence review for international clinical practice guidelines on kidney disease with Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO - kdigo.org).
