He was a Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society Career Scientist Award recipient aimed at enhancing analgesia and anesthesia for women and high-risk pregnancies. He is an Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia and the International Journal of Obstetric Anesthesia. Dr. George is the current President of the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology and Board Member of the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists.
