He has also been active at jazz festivals both in Japan and abroad, and in various media outlets. In 2006, he moved to the United States and settled in New York. He has since performed with Bill Saxton (ts), James Carter (ts), and Greg Bandy (drums), and has participated in recordings by reggae legend Derrick Barnett, energetically pursuing a wide range of musical endeavors. He has also pursued a global musical perspective, participating in Native African bands in Senegal and Mali. In 2013, he released his long-awaited debut album, "HAPPY SONG." It garnered acclaim around the world, and his CD release concert at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center was a huge success. Furthermore, as a saxophone jazz instructor, he has guided over 300 professional and amateur players. While his playing style is rooted in bebop, it also encompasses a wide range of genres, from modal to funk to contemporary.
