The cause could be a tight or weak psoas muscle – one of the most important muscles for hip mobility, stability, and healthy posture. In this effective 8-minute routine, you'll specifically stretch and strengthen your psoas. Using simple props like a blanket and a yoga block (or book), you'll work on your hip stability and mobility while standing, in lunges, sitting, and lying on your back. Dynamic swinging exercises improve circulation and flexibility. Isometric holds specifically build strength. Gentle stretches in lunges release tension deep in the hip flexors. Strengthening exercises while seated and in a shoulder bridge position provide greater stability in the pelvis and thus also relieve your lower back. The psoas muscle isn't called the "muscle of the soul" for nothing – stress and emotions can become trapped here. Through conscious breathing and mindful movements, you support not only your physical mobility but also your inner relaxation. If you practice this routine daily for a week, you can experience significantly more ease in your hips, better posture, and less lower back pain.
