Debussy Bassoon Sonata in G Minor (Violin Sonata) | Nathan Shepherd

Claude Debussy's Sonata for Violin and Piano in G minor (L. 140) was the last piece he wrote before his death in 1918. Here we're performing a transcription for bassoon. Debussy displays his mature harmonic palette in this piece (including some unexpected Spanish flair), as it sounds markedly more progressive than much of his music.
