Croupier (1998) Arrow Video 4K UHD Review

#croupier #arrowvideo #4kuhd The 1998 masterpiece CROUPIER finally receives the royal treatment so long deserved via the new 4K restoration and release by Arrow Films. This film was nearly buried by its studio dumping the film without wanting to give it a proper theatrical release. Ever since then it has been kicked around and treated to such poor video releases that I had planned to include it in my video hell series. This Arrow release is a dream and properly shows off to its fullest extent one of the best films of the past 30 years. The supplements are excellent but the two hour feature documentary on Mike Hodges is so incredibly candid and poignant it should be viewed and examined on its own. It is not a mere supplement. It is one of the best film documentaries I’ve ever seen.
