Welcome to another update from H&H Performance! 🎥 This time, we're taking a closer look at the BMW B58. Our goal: to find the cause of the increased crankcase pressure and the oil loss. Throughout the video, we'll open the engine, compare components, and explain technical details about the B58, especially crankcase ventilation. 📌 What you can expect in this video: Engine opening: We disassemble the B58 engine to identify potential damage or faults. Components in focus: Comparison of pistons, cylinders, and crankcase ventilation – with exciting insights into how they work. Problem analysis: Why the standard solution for crankcase pressure reaches its limits at higher boost pressures. Solution approach: How we want to improve ventilation through modifications and additional components. 🔧 Technical highlights: Crankcase ventilation: Why it becomes problematic at higher pressures and which modifications can help. Comparison with other engines: A look at the differences and similarities between the B58, S58, and S55. Aftermarket components: Insights into pistons and compression ratios, including our decision to retain the stock compression ratio. 👉 What's next?
