But there is also a word of caution. Though thirsty for a drop, the poet says that out of greed we drank the whole pot. As a result we missed how it actually tasted. It refers to the human nature of always crafting out ways to accumulate more instead of finding joys in little things. The poet is confused, he is not able to explain this wonderous phenomenon to anybody. Throughout his life he was the one waiting, for a drop to descend. And now when it's happening, he is awestruck. He says that without the thirst for knowledge, one cannot taste this magical water. This water is only for the one who is thirsty in the real sense. Without being worthy you can never gain this knowledge. Listen this Bhajan in the melodious voice of Parvathy Baul. Now how and whom do I explain? A drop is all what I need Why do you imbibe the nectar without real thirst?
