On board a South Ferry bound R62A 1 train from Van Cortlandt Park-242nd Street to South Ferry

Seen here is a ride on a 1 train, operated by R62A, bound for South Ferry via Broadway express. Due to track maintenance, Manhattan bound 1 train service ran express from Van Cortlandt Park to 215 Street. Passengers who want bypassing stations would transfer at Dyckman Street to a Van Cortlandt Park bound 1 train or use unlimited Metrocard or tap with OMNY to get back to the other side. In this video, I managed to catch me an R62A coming into Van Cortlandt Park, and soon to be departing as the next train to Manhattan. Although it only bypassed a couple of stations when going down to Manhattan, this was still express until we got to 215 Street, where it switched to the local track to resume normal service to Manhattan. This ride was a little longer compared to being a short run express, but this was an okay ride until we got to the last stop, which was South Ferry. In the end, it went back out in service and headed back to the Bronx by leaving South Ferry, and raced out ahead to the next stop as it switches out in a fast pace time. Enjoy!
