14 year-old Hollace Oakes plays her rendition of 'Washington County' with The Kody Norris Show (‪@TheKodyNorrisShow‬) band at the Floyd Country Store. ‪@FloydCountryStore‬ Hollace first met the band at the Bristol Bluegrass Spring Fest in April and reunited with them at the Mountain City Fiddlers Convention in September, where she earned an impressive 3rd place in the Fiddle Off against adult competitors—an experience she’ll never forget. Before the show, she enjoyed supper with the band, chatting with the talented Mary Rachel and the rest of the wonderful group. Then, during the second half of the concert, Kody invited Hollace to grab her fiddle and join them on stage for an impromptu performance. Hollace selected one of her favorites - 'Washington County.' It’s amazing how, with no rehearsal, great musicians can create such a magical moment on the first try. Truly a night to remember and the best gift! Thank you to the entire band!
