Europe's No.1 Gerry Rafferty Tribute Show - 'Right Down The Line' - performs "Right Down The Line", live at Paisley Town Hall (10.05.25). Track 11, and our first act closer, from our 'Hometown' show in Paisley is our version of the very song we chose to name our show in honour of. "Right Down The Line" was released as a single in July 1978, as the follow up to "Baker Street", both of which heralded from Rafferty's most successful studio album, "City To City". The song spent four nonconsecutive weeks at number one in the U.S Adult Contemporary Chart. "Right Down The Line" finds itself firmly within the canon of the great classic rock compositions, and is currently approaching 400-million streams on Spotify as it continues to be embraced by fans of all generations. A simple, yet deceptively tricky song to play authentically; the performance laid down on tape by Gerry and his band is full of subtlety and nuance, with a particular tone and sound that is difficult to recreate. We hope our effort pays respectful tribute to this great recording.
