In this short but thorough class, we'll warm up the entire body! It's ideal for waking up in the morning or before other exercises. Since you never put weight on your hands, it's perfect if your wrists feel tired or sore but still want to get moving. Since we'll be standing, we'll focus on working the legs and glutes, but we'll also activate the abs, open the shoulders, and warm up the wrists and ankles without tiring them. I came into contact with yoga in college, during a particularly difficult period psychologically, while I was studying Middle Eastern Languages at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. I had been searching for a way to find balance within myself for some time, and the physical practice of asanas, performed with dedication every day, gave me a profound sense of relief. I then realized I wanted to fully understand the teachings of this practice and share what I learned with others. After graduation, I was fortunate enough to combine my love of travel with my love of yoga, and I left for South Africa—as a guest of one of my sisters! There, I took the Yoga Alliance E-YRT 200 instructor training at the Unraveled Yoga studio in Cape Town, under the guidance of Maya Pratt. After completing the course, I moved back to Trieste, my hometown, where I began teaching, continuing both my practical studies—of Yin Yoga, for which I earned the Yoga Alliance Yin Yoga Certificate RYT30, and mindfulness meditation—and theoretical studies, which are essential for understanding the complexity and infinite potential for transformation this practice offers. I primarily teach Vinyasa Yoga, a dynamic style in which close attention is paid to the breath and maintaining concentration during transitions between postures. The passion for this type of Yoga stems from the enormous creative stimulation of a comprehensive practice, based on traditional Hatha Yoga but which leaves room for ever new and creative sequences, aiding awareness of movement, of one's body, and of one's mental strength.
